The Kids Aren’t Alright

March 14, 2009

A gaggle of unhappy students “occupy” a a cafeteria at NYU to demand an end to injustice everywhere for all time; after three days the “Grumps” step in and spoil the fun. The resulting scene lies somewhere between Ionesco and Mr. Show.

Moral: If you’re placing yourself in opposition to a massive corporate structure, be sure to bring more than your wimpy, confused righteousness.

  1. Wow… this is the best piece of unintentional comedy I’ve seen in a long time. Especially the bit at the end: that the powers-that-barely-are will want to confiscate their journals, and that those authorities won’t want the students’ water bottles because the suits drink “corporate water.”

Give this guy an Emmy. Or a hemp Emmy, or whatever.

  2. I’m still dwelling on the term “corporate water” as well.

  3. This is why I dropped out of college.

  4. Wait — scratch that, crippling poverty was why I dropped out of college. Sorry, my error.

  5. Haha…I love the idea of “corporate water” from a group that have backpacks full of Macbooks and iPods.

  6. Those cops were such bastards!
